Venezia
Relief and Sanatoria Project of the former Cinema Teatro Italia and two adjacent apartments The historical-artistic exceptionality of the building is assessed first of all by its extreme rarity in the panorama of the Venetian protonovecentesca construction. Its pioneering construction technique, in fact, makes it count among the first examples of introduction to Venice of reinforced concrete as an element of structural character. The main facade, which overlooks the Anconeta square, is in Istrian stone of neo-Gothic style, according to the canons of eclecticism (quotation of the ground porch and the last order of the facade of the Cà d’Oro). The exceptional character of the building is further confirmed by the organicity of its artistic decoration, to which some of the greatest artists then present in the Venetian art scene have collaborated such as Bellotto, Martina, Marussig and Pomi. Thanks to a precise architectural survey of the building, access to historical and archival documents and through the analysis of authorization documents, it was possible to compare the current state with the state approved by the Veneto Region. The remediation was obtained through appropriate administrative procedures and a careful study of the discrepancies found.
